Red Deer Minor Football (RDMF) is home to the Central Alberta FIRE (Female Football) SPRING Football program!
This Red Deer based team is open to ALL Female players from Central Alberta, including all areas from Ponoka to Olds and Stettler to Rocky Mountain House. For the 2025 Season, we will be playing teams from the South Division including Calgary, Airdrie, and Okotoks. There will be travel involved for this regular playing season. Travel will be at the players expense; Carpooling and shared rides are encouraged.
Girls aged 14 to 18 (up to and including Grade 12 players), so under the age of 19 BEFORE December 31, 2025, are welcome to sign-up to play FULL CONTACT 6 vs 6 Football.
This season will feature 2 teams, a Junior Team, and a Senior Team.
Senior Teams will be athletes in Grades 10-12. This means open to birth years of 2007, 2008, 2009.
Junior Teams will be athletes in Grades 7-9. This means open to birth years 2010, 2011, 2012.
Girls aged 11-13, before December 31, 2025, are eligible to PRACTICE ONLY (**some exceptions for gameplay may apply - with coaching/league approval) with the team, to learn for this season. Please contact us before registering your under-age player - email cenab.femalefootball@gmail.com

Dryland practices will begin mid-February.
Indoor Full Equipment practices will run mid-March to end of April.
Outdoor Full Equipment practices will run from end of April to the end of the season, approximately mid-June.
GAME DAYS are typically Sundays starting in April and playdowns are typically the first two weeks of June.
**ALL DATES/Locations are TBD and information will be sent out to registered players as soon as they are confirmed**
Concussion testing is MANDATORY starting in the 2025 season, information will be forwarded to the players and families for testing and protocols. Follow-up protocols and further testing can be facilitated and more information will come from Red Deer Minor Football.
