The Bottle Drive is MANDATORY for ALL Players!
PLEASE RSVP to the Bottle Drive EVENT in your RAMP app to let us know you have received this information!
We will be canvasing the ROSEDALE Meadows/Estates, CLEARVIEW Meadows & parts of Deer Park Village as needed. The bottle drive will be Tuesday MAY 14th. Please arrive at 5:30pm (to get instructions and your jersey). We will be out between 6-8/830pm. There will be a trailer from COSMOS parked in the skate shack parking lot to the west of the RDMF Shed.
We would ask that you please ask around with your families/friends to bring extra bottles when you come. This is our MAJOR fundraiser for the season. Our success allows us to keeps fees to a reasonable amount.
JERSEYS will be handed out to wear during this bottle drive. BRING hand-wipes and a few extra garbage bags for loose donations. We will divide into groups of 2-3 players and maps of the areas to complete will be handed out. IF you have a truck PLEASE BRING IT!! We will need quite a few to get all the players out!!
It is MANDATORY that All FIRE players participate in the annual bottle drive. IF you do NOT participate or make other arrangements to deliver/pickup bottles on your own time this season, your FUNDRAISING cheque for $200 WILL be cashed.
- Please be respectful when you are out canvasing. Players are reminded that they are representing RDMF and as such need to use sidewalks (not grass) and proper manners when accepting cash donations and bottles from residents.
- The bylaw officer is usually hyper-vigilant this evening and we ask all drivers to follow all rules including NO PARKING in or at the end of driveways, near fire hydrants, bus zones, and NO double parking or u-turns. Watch out for city busses…there is a bus route in front of the shed.
- Everyone is expected to participate for the full 2 hours. If you finish your map early, ask for another area when you drop off bottles. ALL MAPS AND JERSEYS MUST BE RETURNED by 8:00-8:30pm. CASH can be given to any board member or manager.
